(Note: Due to the sheer number of submissions we receive there is no way we can give each and every album the attention (and word count) they deserve, but we can devote time to at least one song from each. So we started this feature to give worthy bands, and their music a spot to shine. We hope this helps you discover new and exciting acts, and as always if you enjoy the music please make an attempt to support the artist by either attending a show, or buying a record.)
Heard this on the Adventure Club last night, and with the exception of the “Hotel, Taco Bell” rhyme I fairly enjoy this slice of retro-clash. Though let’s be honest this band is poised to be hated, as they are about to appear on The New Moon soundtrack, and the hype machine seems to be revving up to anoint them the hot new thing.
Band of Skulls- I Know What I Am
Verdict: There’s a lot worse out there, sometimes we need to just be happy with something decent getting airplay.
(Band of Skulls plays the Palladium Ballroom on December 2nd, opening for Metric.)
